Tarik Davis is an actor/writer/avid pop culture consumer based in New York City with a 20 year history history of acting, performing improv and writing comedy. He strives to cross-pollinate performance styles and audiences in all his work. Currently you can see Tarik on The Amber Ruffin Show (three seasons available on Peacock TV) as Amber’s announcer, side kick and real life friend! Past experience includes performing for The Upright Citizens Brigade in NY, Boom Chicago in Amsterdam and The Second City in Chicago. Tarik has appeared in multiple commercials and television shows such as Late Night with Seth Meyers, Ray Donovan, Friends From College, Last Week Tonight: with John Oliver and more.

Ronin

In 2021, Tarik performed in the critically acclaimed Freestyle Love Supreme at The Booth Theater, in the Broadway run in NYC. In 2018 he performed at The Brooklyn Museum in David Levine's Some of the People All of the Time, which was selected as the New York Times Best Art of 2018. Tarik was a member of the longest running improv team at The PIT, The Baldwins and also performs with Baby Wants Candy and Shamilton at UCB Hells Kitchen. Tarik is a founding member of the monthly improv show Comedy People’s Time that features writers and performers from shows Late Night with Seth Meyers and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

Tarik also teaches improv and theater to both children & adults. Upcoming workshops are in August 2024 in Austin, TX.

Dreamer

As a writer / creator, Tarik has made short films, web comics, comedy sketches, and published critical essays. Tarik’s latest short film, DOC: Race, Revolution, Relativity & The Confessions of a Time Traveling Terrorist (2023) is currently being finished and submitted to film festivals. In early 2017, Tarik shot a six-minute comedic horror short called Page One along with Don P. Hooper, LeMar McLean and Evan Kaufman about an actor who has made his living being the first guy killed in horror movies. In 2019, Tarik noticed how Lucas’ character on Stranger Things wasn’t afforded the same backstory / family narrative that the other kids were. Riffing on a brief mention made in season three, Tarik expanded the character of Uncle Jack Sinclair, and this short fan fiction piece was born with the help of Micah Sherman and Mark Stetson. Tarik, Micah and Mark also worked together in the height of the Covid-19 shutdown, on a horror play that was set on Zoom and comments on capitalism and A.I. The Tank presented Host Invite on Halloween 2020.
